Purses By Moms is a boutique purse company in West Los Angeles. They sell hand-stitched bags and wallets crafted by stay-at-home moms in LA County. Founded by Paula Winslow, the brand’s mission is to provide moms with a creative outlet and a source of income during those formative years with their toddlers.
The brand struggled with recognition beyond the physical store experience. Purses By Moms sought out innovative ways to make its purpose resonate more deeply with customers outside of their store.
Dreamr Productions was brought in to provide a creative strategy to help boost brand recognition- and then implement it.

The Process
Through our discovery session and brand audit, we developed a Spotify playlist that captured the heart of the Purses By Moms’ mission. Each song was carefully selected to evoke a feeling of purpose, empowerment, and strength.
Alongside the playlist, we created a series of pursemaker testimonials to feature on in-store endcaps- highlighting that the brand’s mission was actively happening, and inviting the shopper into a personal connection with the pursemakers themselves.

The Solution
Together, the Spotify Playlist and the end-cap copy gave shoppers a way to connect that much more deeply. It helped build an emotional investment in the brand.
Long after the shopping day was done, upon hearing one of the playlist songs again, the shopper could be brought back, instantly rekindling the connection made during the initial experience.
The Results
The playlist became a shareable way for the brand to express itself and its values. It extended the brand experience beyond the store—on commutes, during chores, or while unwinding at home.
This simple but strategic use of sound helped build awareness in spades. People recommended Purses By Moms to friends and family- because they cared.
By leveraging the emotional power of music, Purses By Moms transformed its brand experience, boosting brand recognition through organic word of mouth, and was finally able to expand to more cities across the United States.
