Blutag AI, a voice SaaS company, commissioned Dreamr Productions to create functional sounds for their grocery industry clientele. The assignment was to create 5 sounds; item added to cart, duplicate item added to cart, item removed from cart, cart cleared, order placed.

The Problem
Voice marketing holds extreme potentials and possibilities, however it is still misunderstood and underutilized. Blutag wanted to use recognizable and relatable sounds for a select group of their clientele to encourage further exploration of future sound usage.
The goal was to develop sounds that were both familiar to purchase as well as familiar to Blutag’s grocery industry customers. This would help increase Blutag’s noteriety with current and future clients and showcase the options of more customizable sound possibilities.
Functional Sounds
The Solution
Dreamr created relatability through sound by combining both tonal (musical) and atonal (non musical) sounds to the delivery assets.
Live sound of items being thrown, dropped and removed from a plastic bag, as well as the sounds of bags rustling and being manipulated were recorded and mixed together. This was then layered with a very subtle musical mnemonic.
Organic and tonal sound weaved functionality, relatability, and recognition into one.

The Results
After completion of the project, the finalized sounds were given to a select group of Blutag’s grocery industry customers for testing.
The feedback from the test group was very positive. The sounds were well received. We at Dreamr are excited to partner again to create some more industry specific sounds.
